You can swim right opposite, although, the coastline at the front is stony or off various points all along this coast and you will not have to walk far to discover a deserted small pebble and shingle beach.

A five-minute walk along the coastal path will bring you to a working fishing harbor and on its fringes there are three to four tavernas, one renowned for fish. A three-minute walk along a path brings you to the main road where there are a few more tavernas and two to three minimarkets. This area is still relatively non commercialized and yet both Lefkas town approximately five kilometetres to the north and the resorts to the south are easily accessible by regular public bus service.
